The Soulforge is a mystical phenomenon at the heart of the Veiled Realms, a figurative forge where the essences of powerful entities are fused with the fabric of magic itself. In ancient times, countless formidable beings met their end within the realms, be they primordial entities, celestial beings, or ancient dragons. Instead of vanishing entirely, their magical essences became imprinted upon the very essence of the world.  

What differentiates beings such as Gods, Dragons and Titans from us? Most would simply say: their might, power and magic. Though partially right, what trully sets them appart from us is their origin; beings born of pure magic, they are unlike us of flesh and soul. Their body and mind, formed of the same magic, are one and the same. Picture this: what happens to a dead mans body over time? They decompose, predators of the small feasting on their lifeless corpse, allowing them to thrive and feed larger and larger beings; The cycle of life. Now, what of a Dragon's corpse? What happens to one whose body and soul are the very same? Whose scales and muscle are magic made flesh? Could bacteria consume and thrive on such a thing? No, yet the bodies of such beings DO rot, albeit slower than us, but over generations even the strongest Dragon scales and Titan bones will be no more. And this, is because our world itself feeds on them, on the raw magic they accumulate over eons. Allowing for it to spread to all corners of Aurora.

The Soulforge is a convergence of magical energies, a cosmic crucible where the lingering essences of the departed coalesce. The magical resonance emanating from the Soulforge permeates every corner of the Veiled Realms, infusing the land, air, and seas with an ever-present magical potential.

From the Primordial Soulforge to the Draconic Legacy Epochs, we experience the passage of time as a series of enchanting chapters, each telling its own story.   The whispers of the departed echo through the very air we breathe. The primordial beings, celestial entities, and ancient dragons that once roamed our lands have left behind a legacy in the form of magical residues. In the Primordial Soulforge, the remnants of ancient primordial entities clash, shaping the very fabric of magic in the Veiled Realms. This epoch is marked by untamed and wild magical energies, giving rise to ever-shifting landscapes, mysterious phenomena, and the potential for rediscovering ancient, forgotten powers.  

Ethereal Remnant Epoch:

The Ethereal Remnant Epoch is characterized by the lingering essences of celestial beings that have departed. This era sees the clash of celestial magics, creating pockets of celestial phenomena. Blessed lands, divine manifestations, and celestial guardians may appear, offering boons to those who navigate the shifting ethereal currents.  

Shadowheart Phases:

Dark and powerful entities from the ancient past have left their mark on the realms during the Shadowheart Phases. The magic of shadows clashes, giving rise to an epoch where darkness itself becomes a tangible force. This era is marked by veiled landscapes, mysterious occurrences, and the potential for uncovering the secrets of shadow magic.  

Titanic Resonance Cycles:

The Titanic Resonance Cycles are dominated by the magical echoes of colossal titans. This epoch is characterized by the clash of titanic energies, resulting in colossal magical storms, earthquakes, and manifestations of raw elemental might. Adventurers may encounter remnants of ancient titans, witness titanic battles frozen in time, and navigate landscapes shaped by these colossal beings.  

Elemental Reckoning Eras:

In the Elemental Reckoning Eras, the magical residues of ancient elemental beings continue to clash. This ongoing reckoning results in dynamic shifts in elemental dominance. Many may face challenges from elemental creatures, navigate regions of extreme elemental influence, and witness the ever-changing balance of elemental forces.

Ancestral Nexus Phases:

During the Ancestral Nexus Phases, the convergence of ancestral energies creates zones where the magic of bloodlines is heightened. Characters with strong blood ties may find themselves drawn to these areas, where the clash of familial magics gives rise to profound abilities and challenges tied to their heritage.  

Celestial Bloodline Resurgence:

The Celestial Bloodline Resurgence brings forth blessings rather than upheaval. Regions influenced by celestial bloodlines experience enhanced prosperity, with increased fertility, vibrant ecosystems, and heightened magic. This epoch is a time of relative peace and growth, allowing life to thrive in these favored areas.  

Abyssal Desolation Phases:

During Abyssal Desolation Phases, demonic energies affect specific regions, creating temporary desolation. Inhabitants may need to temporarily relocate, but concerted efforts can be made to reclaim and purify these areas afterward.
