The Scaled Empress

Loxotl, Goddess of Nature, serpents and fertility

Loxotl, known as The Scaled Empress, is the third offspring born from the union of Anima, Guardian of The Forgotten, and Nazanke, The Dreamer of Possibilities. Created to protect and oversee the natural world, Loxotl claims dominion over all forests and their inhabitants. She embodies the fierce, untamed spirit of nature, fiercely defending it from those who seek to exploit or harm it.   Loxotl governs the domains of nature, serpents, and fertility. Her power is seen in the growth of forests, the fertility of the land and all beings. As the protector of nature, she takes a direct and sometimes harsh approach to ensure the balance and health of the natural world. Her affinity for serpents is reflected in her followers, who often revere these creatures and strive to emulate their qualities.   Devotees of Loxotl are often druids, rangers, herbalists, and those who live in harmony with nature. They are dedicated to protecting the environment and ensuring the fertility of the land. Followers might venerate serpents, seeing them as sacred creatures, and some even aspire to become more serpent-like in their appearance or behavior, adopting traits such as cunning, stealth, and adaptability, or undergoing procedures to alter themselves to gain scales or slitted pupils, emulating the Ophidians. Loxotl bestows her favor on those who demonstrate a deep respect for nature and a commitment to its protection. Her blessings might manifest as increased fertility of the land, the ability to communicate with animals, or enhanced physical and mental attributes that mimic those of serpents. Favored followers often possess a deep connection to nature, displaying remarkable resilience and adaptability.
