The Lost Continent: Morindus
Prince Salador of Portcross, driven by an insatiable thirst for discovery, turned his sights beyond the familiar shores of Selenia and the Veil islands. Launching numerous expeditions to the enigmatic Far Coast, his endeavors sparked intrigue and speculation, though none returned to recount their findings.
The Lost Continent, more commonly called Morindus, lies far to the east of Selenia. Once deemed unreachable for countless generations, its lands are a harsh expanse of desert, where deadly shifting sands swallow the unprepared. War has scarred these wastes time and again, and the people who endure here live as nomads—gathered into wandering tribes or hardened mercenary guilds.
For a long age, Morindus bent beneath the rule of the Lady of the Green Coil—known also as the Serpent Queen, the Green Lady. Power-hungry and merciless, she drained the land of all it could give. The Serathi were said to serve her, for she was whispered to be the consort of an Abyssi Domani, a Dae—a demon lord of the Undersanctuary—creatures who could steal the faces of mortals and walk among them unseen.
At last, the Knights of the Round Talisman rose to end her reign of terror. Their war was long and bloody, but they prevailed, sealing away the last remnants of her corruption by raising a golden Oliphant statue—eight tons of sanctified weight—upon the battlefield.
Yet the seal does not hold forever. After many years, something—or someone—has begun to break it. The Serpent Queen stirs once more in Morindus, and her whispers are carried on the desert wind.
