The Veil of Sovereignty

The world has long been ruled by a powerful global empire, The Sovereign Dominion, an organization that claims to maintain peace and order across the land. They achieved this by outlawing all forms of unregulated magic and heavily policing any rebellions or uprisings. To many, the Dominion represents safety, progress, and civilization—an end to the chaos that once gripped the world. However, beneath the surface, their rule is harsh and oppressive, marked by censorship, public executions, and the exploitation of magic users, whose powers are drained in secret rituals.   Enter the Veil—a shadowy resistance movement determined to overthrow the Dominion and free the world from its iron grip. They claim to fight for the freedom of all people, especially those born with magical talents who are ruthlessly hunted by the Dominion’s Enforcers. But the Veil has its own dark side: assassinations, sabotage, and the use of forbidden magic to achieve their goals.   The players are thrust into this conflict as reluctant heroes caught between two extremes. As they rise in power, they’ll be forced to choose between supporting the oppressive order of the Dominion or aiding the chaotic rebellion of the Veil. Neither side is entirely good or evil, and every choice will have lasting consequences on the fate of the world.
