After being dismissed and becoming quite wealthy she left Theseon in search for a better life. She slowly took up hand-to-hand combat, going down the path of all different types of martial arts. Her instructor was the one to gift her the gauntlets after much training. Umali wore them as a sign as respect to her instructor before they binded. After some time learning how to use them, she used them as a ranged punch almost. To throw a punch and it travel the distant to strike a foe was quite useful. Until her old age Umali and Grindour lived together as good companions.
