Alchemists
Among the folk of the realms, alchemists are regarded with equal parts awe and caution. Villagers tell of their workshops—dim chambers filled with glass vials that glow like captured stars and cauldrons that hiss with secrets. An alchemist travels the road carrying these wonders on their back, each elixir a tiny miracle waiting to be uncorked. In battle, they are said to scatter foes with flasks that burst into fire or frost, while their allies drink shimmering draughts that mend flesh or sharpen the senses. Yet it is their curiosity that defines them most: alchemists chase the hidden laws of the world, seeking to turn raw chaos into order, and in doing so they walk a thin line between brilliant discovery and catastrophic explosion.
