The war begins with an attack on central city it lasts 2 months.

The villain lays seize on central city beginning the war with a battle that lasts two solid months. This force comes out of nowhere and no one knows who's in charge of it until Dante goes on a solo mission against orders and cuts all power and the villain's connection to his toops. He isn't widely acknowledged for this feat since it was against orders, but the villain knows who it was and Redd finds pretty easily.
