War of Freedom

The Conflict

Prelude

Began with a two-month-long attack on Central City, but there was rumors of a criminal network run by someone called King amassing followers.

Outcome

The followers of King appeared to abandon him immediately after his death, as any loyalty to him was considered treason by the government. Many were recruited to his side by threat of death and many more claimed to have been. Peace and clean up began.

Aftermath

Those loyal to King didn't immediatly give up. They continued to stir up trouble even into the modern day, turning to more petty crimes and drug/human trafficking trades. But mostly they hid they're opposition to the military in small acts of terrorism and violence.

Historical Significance

Led by

All the King's Men

Strength

Powerful and numerous. It is the central government and was able to recruit enough soldiers there didn't need to be a draft.
There were a lot of them, at varying levels of training. Sometimes he'd have civilians with pitchforks other times highly trained mercenaries.

Casualties

Heavy casulties in every battle. Once Dante countered King and King found out about his pacifism he made a point to kill as many civilians as he could, just to get to him.

Objectives

To protect the people, their homes, and their lives. But most importantly to protect their own power.
Gain power and overthrow the militeristic governement. Those loyal to him were fighting because they weren't represented in government and believed King would consider the people more than the power and prestige-driven military.
