Spark grasses used to be used as light like torches but after alternative light sources were discovered spark grass fell out of fashion but it is still quite useful to light some fires

Spark grasses grow in the lands of the Dracons possibly both the best and worst case scenario the dracons are fiercely protective of there exports making spark grass quite hard to get in high quantities

Spark grasses are biennials they last two years before dying and germinate many times during those two years
History & Usage
History
When it was first discovered spark grass was used as a torch-like item but as better light sources were made it stopped being used as much spark grasses continued being used in forges helping to start it and keep them lit for long periods of time it is also seen used in various burning of important historical buildings like the original castle of udeia before it was converted entirely into stone

It is most often used in forges to keep them lit for long periods of time

The only risks when handling them is light burns
Reusability & Recycling
spark grass is reuseable until it dies when it does it can be turned into some really good compost
Distribution
Trade & Market
The only place you can get good reliable spark grass and less smelly ones is the Dracons if you get some from the underground florist market it is often extremely smelly poor quality and often unable to give a good spark
Storage
to store it in numbers you need to store it away from flammable objects in a well saturated place that is cold
Law & Regulation
You are required to have a license to purchase this item and be a proper blacksmith or otherwise have a legal forge any attempts to use spark grass without proper certification can lead to up to 3 years in jail and a 300 scale fine
