The Sentinel Codex

The Sentinel Codex is meant to outline the requirements to be a sentinel a list of sentinels and a documentation for all the rules that sentinels are required to follow. It was created to act as a introductory manual to being a sentinel for new recruits as it opened to the public

Sections are split up into Rules and Regulations, A map of the Spire, Requirements to gain and hold the status of sentinels, Expectations of a Sentinel and at the back of the book a List of Sentinels spanning from 1973 - 2012 were documentation was moved over to digital as the books were beginning to grow to large their is also a section for sentinels to journal and decorate as they pleased

The document lists some of the consequences for failing to abide by the rules listed but others do include expulsion from the sentinels, jailing, and in some extreme cases execution

The Sentinel Codex reference the 1990 guide to sentinels for the list of names it also references several political documents written by Enderstar as one of the key founders and Overstar as they were the leading political figure at the time these documents were referenced in the expectation and rules of the sentinels

This document is available in some capacity throughout the empire however the full version is only accessible to those enrolled in the sentinels in the public version the full rules were cut down significantly and the map of the Sentinel Spire was removed

The document was made after the Sentinels became open for the public to join if they passed the rigorous training required

only a mere decade earlier the Sentinels was just a front for illicit experimentation on dragons only after the Sentinels came back into possession of the government did they become official guardians of the Capitol. Soon after the creation and ratification of the codex did the sentines finally have a set of rules to follow

The release of this document marked the first mention of Sentinels since the government takeover in 1964 of the original Sentinels so their was a large amount of confusion and hostility towards the idea of an elite gurdianship of the city with belief that the government had lost it ripe in the minds of the common people of the city
