Tigers

Tigers and lions and... Nope, just tigers. The sapient and talkative kind, that is, hailing from the far south amid the lush landscapes of the Elder Continent and the Presbyterate. Undeniably native to the Neath (there were no talking tigers on the Surface, silly), tigers may in fact be the eldest sapient species of the Undersea. Just don't tell the triton that.   Graceful and agile, tigers are just as comfortable standing on two legs as they are on four much to the consternation of many Londoners. Their enormous strength and keen intelligence has made them a highly influential faction on the Elder Continent, numbering among the strongest of the seventy-seven Presbyterate kingdoms. Tigers are often driven out of their homeland by an insatiable curiosity, a burning desire to see the world around them. This wanderlust has lead many to settle in Fallen London, where the Court of the Wakeful Eye may occasionally call on them to provide information about the going-ons in their locale.   Given their homeland's proximity to the Garden and the Mountain of Light Herself, most tigers revere Stone. There is undoubtedly history between the two, given how long the tigers have existed in the Neath, and although this reverence is not a full-blown religion it is common to see tigers engage in traditional prayers at sunrise. Apparently there's some greater purpose that tigers fulfill by existing, although what this could be is entirely a mystery to all but themselves. A derivation of this reverence manifests as a respect for all intelligent life, a characteristic which defines both the individuals and the politics of their species.

Relations

Although many inhabit foreign nations, the tigers and their kingdom's Court care little for politics beyond the shores of the Elder Continent leading to tepid relations at a state level. Individual tigers are generally afforded respect by all other races, which they return in measure equal to that received. It is understandable that some find conversing with a 350 pound feline intimidating, but at least the tigers are polite enough not to make a big deal out of this.   Race: LINK (tabaxi)
