Tieflings
The fortunes of tielfings have been trending up the past few decades in the east, thanks in most part to the treaty between Fallen London and Hell after the disastrous Campaign of 18'. This treaty was written primarily by the devils of course, being the victorious party and all. Though devils have always considered tieflings wayward cousins who don't do enough to embrace their "true" heritage, this treaty greatly benefited tieflings thanks to a curiously (intentionally?) ambiguous term concerning discrimination against those possessing infernal blood. Suffice to say this put a damper on the national past time of harassing tielfings. Besides, how are you supposed to complain about tieflings when devils themselves are walking about the streets?
For their part, many tieflings are more than happy to let bygones be bygones. Their newfound freedom has led to an explosion of tiefling entrepreneurial endeavors and businesses about the Undersea, which Fallen London happily taxes. Proximity has also allowed those who prefer to embrace their infernal blood the opportunity to rub shoulders with many important denizens of Hell. This isn't to say that everyone is happy with the new status quo, least of all the Order of the Scripture and Helia's constituents, but seeing as there's nothing to be done about it presently any dissension is swallowed.
Relations
Much better than they were, at any rate, at least in the Neath's eastern environs.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
