The Two Lands
Geography
In the north, the continent known as Althea is a land of lush forests and rolling grasslands. Small stony mountains split the talon like continent down the middle as it stretches south to its sister continent, known only as Outland, a wasteland of black deserts and endless jungles.
The Two Lands are divided by the Starfall Sea, a massive expanse of water that fills the basin of the Starfall, if the myths are to be believed. The two continents form almost a full circle around the sea, lending some credence to these tales. Although plagued by constant storms and enormous waves, the sea is filled with hundreds of inhabited lush islands.
History
Once the lands were one, torn asunder by shattering stars and spilling seas. The old world drowned and what remained were two lands split by a scattering hundreds of isles; one a wasteland of warring tribes and fallen kingdoms, Outland. The northern continent, Althea, had remained relatively unscathed by the endless flooding and became a green jewel of full forests and golden grass amidst a world of treacherous seas and barren wastes.
