Castle Xacobet
An ancient, hulking citadel, rising from the sea, Castle Xacobet looms over the Drowned City of Acheron. The castle is so large it appears like a black mountain and can be seen from great distances.
Xacobet has served as the seat of the royal family of Althea for over ten generations, however it is believed to have been constructed thousands of years prior to the Starfall.
Endless archways, spires, and gargoyles litter the exterior of the fortress in a way that is almost spiritual. Inside is a maze of endless black halls and huge rooms, filled with treasures and exotic finery from across the Two Lands.
Alterations
Although the vast majority of builders are occupied simply with the upkeep and repair of the fortress due to its constant deterioration, many additions have been made over the years.
New hallways and rooms had to be carved throughout the castle, and entire courtyards and towers were added by the castle's inhabitants over hundreds of years.
Carvings and golden livery depicting gryphons were added by the royals, as well as the construction of a massive garden, filled with exotic flowers and trees from across the Two Lands.
Architecture
Great gothic spires and arches adorn the entirety of the inky black stone fortress.
