Lyrion Ulthaine

Lyrion Ulthaine is the current Ael'Seran of Nylmaneth. Regent Supreme of the Vanari, and the spiritual and administrative voice of the elven people. He holds court in the resplendent marble spires of Tor Solorieth, the city of sunlit wisdom, where he was born under the rising light of the spring solstice. As the highest-ranking figure along with the Illuminor, Lyrion acts as grand regent, overseeing the day-to-day concords of the realm while upholding the cultural and mystical principles passed down by Tirranon. Refined in both diplomacy, magic, but mostly in martial prowess, Lyrion is revered not only for his centuries-long service to the Concord but also for his ability to navigate the delicate balance between preservation and adaptation. The hallmarks of Nylmaneth’s foreign policy and domestic harmony.

History

Born in the ancient bastion of Tor Solorieth into the House Ulthaine, one of the original lineages said to descend from Tirranon’s chosen, Lyrion was raised amid expectation and tradition. Yet rather than pursue the path of a diplomat or magister, he took to the art of war. At the meager age of 120, he entered the Citadel of Tor Vanarian, the most elite martial academy in Nylmaneth, where his skill with the glaive and blade quickly outpaced his peers. He spent two centuries wandering the high passes of Noctis, dueling oathbreakers, defending shrines from fellbeasts, and forging bonds with the mystic wardens of the wild. His feats during the Weeping Border Conflicts, when skirmishes flared between Nylmaneth and corrupted Aurixian remnants, earned him the title Bladesoul. A rare honor granted only to those whose combat technique transcends mere skill into divine expression.   Though a warrior first, Lyrion’s wisdom in war lent him an unshakable credibility within the Concord. He led a Vanari host during the Siege of Maha'khum and was later called to serve as Lord Regent of the Vanari. When the previous Ael'Seran passed during a Deep Trance, the Lordships and the Illuminor alike recognized Lyrion as the one soul strong enough, both in body and spirit, to guide Nylmaneth forward. His selection as Ael'Seran was unanimous. It is said his induction blade, Vaelnir, forged from a starfallen shard, did not reflect light that day, as if acknowledging its rightful master.
