Ravir

A new Ravir is to be appointed by public opinion and election by voting. A new appointment is to be considered once every five years unless public opinion is strong enough to elicit an earlier vote. The same person can be elected to the office of Ravir repeatedly until their death. The voting system will be held publicly and with a system where cheating and rigging is impossible.

The duties of a Ravir are to rule with a caring heart and even fist, protect the city of Hrafenborg and its constituent settlements, and to lead their fellow WarRavens to victory.

In the chaos that evolved following the Dread Cataclysm, the leader of the WarRavens, known as RavenMaster, was murdered and his position usurped by Kavyn Strawhandler. Kavyn was an assassin of the WarRaven organization and member of a small uprising against the RavenMaster. After the takeover, he assumed the mantle of RavenMaster. He was perhaps a crueler and more unforgiving leader than the previous RavenMaster had been, always placing himself before others.

The deceased RavenMaster's daughter, Kiarin Ihrlie, hid herself and plotted revenge. When she eventually exiled Kavyn from his usurped position, Kiarin declared that the title of RavenMaster would be retired and replaced by Ravir, a title she created which would be exclusive to the WarRaven's leaders from then forth. She added to her code name of Vex and became known as Ravir Vexen.

The new title marks a turning point in how the WarRaven organization is to be run. It heralds a change to greater benevolence by its leader to their people.
