Antagonist/Villain

An antagonist is someone who is in opposition to the protagonist, with goals that conflict with those of the protagonist. It’s fully possible to be an antagonist without being a villain, and a villain isn’t necessarily an antagonist, just look at Walter White on Breaking Bad.
