Caernir
The Seventh planet in the Zugano System.
It is home to the sapient Dorcaernir, a species of extreme pacifists, who had no cultural conception of war or conflict, due to their latent empathic abilities, and a religion which held pacificism and cooperation as the highest virtues.
When this belief became known to the wider galaxy, the planet was hit with repeated raids by pirates and bandits from Sakaar and other nearby inhabited planets who sought to obtain the planets wealth of valuable minerals. These raids also frequently involved the theft or destruction of Dorcaernir communities' food supplies, leading to multiple artificial famines.
Hearing of the famines, Thanos sent his Armies to 'balance' the planet.
In a rare case of his actions actually having a positive impact, fear that Thanos might return put off all but the most brazen raiders, and the surviving population have been able to rebuild some of what was lost. A significant anti-pacifist religion movement has sprung up, and several governments around the planet are co-operating on the construction of a planetary energy shield to defend against future raids without the need for combat.

Geography
Much of the planet's surface is highly volcanic, which has resulted in a mountainous surface, and unusual numbers of deposits of rare minerals.
