Érin

The inhabitants of the Hidden City, and keepers of the Library of Worlds.

Their existence was not widely known, but among those who were aware of them, they were usually accepted to be an offshoot branch of the Shadow People who became cut off from the rest of their species after settling in the Hidden City.

The primary difference between the Shadow People and the Érin was the psychic powers possessed by some members of the Érin, especially the ruling class. These might include telekinesis, telepathy, or the ability to create forcefields or energy projectiles using only their innate psionic ability.

Author's Note
Black Swan is canonically a human, and the Hidden City is located on Earth. However, outside the very specific context of the comics universe, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, so I've made them aliens.

The Shadow People are from Hulk Comics, specifically World War Hulk, and they look weirdly similar to Black Swan, so making her part of a psychic off-shoot religion makes sense. The name Érin just means 'people' in Sumerian, which is comics-Black Swan's native language.
