The Maybe of Yonder

This manifesto was written long ago, during probably the third or fourth generation after the Clouds came, for an unknown organization. It was later hidden in the vault of its original writer, Sapphire of the Court of Twilight. The manifesto stayed in the vault a long time before passed onto the last living descendant, a young girl, confused at how she would inherit the throne of the Court of High Sun. An idea so inherently abstract in world forever in shade, that once Amber was in possession of the document she immediately formed a group based on this article called The Misfits of Thorneglenn. This manifesto currently resides in the possession of the group, and phrases are used in many passwords and codes used by the group. It is written as follows:

The Maybe of Yonder

We sit beneath these Clouds, a memory forced upon us, that of abandonment by those above, deemed inadequate, taken from us, the sight of sky and sun, moon, and stars. And yet unknowingly, gave us something, a divine power equal to that which was stolen

The Maybe of Yonder

A promise of Maybe. Something better, something only experienced in the briefest of moments, something shaped a little bit like hope. A hope that we may rise beyond the Clouds that shadow, and a hope beyond all else, that our children, see the stars. And that maybe them, and their children not live in a world of shadows. A hope for day beyond night that we and our parents and their parents before , something seen only in dreams: the sky, pure and blue.
