Finley Pavaris (FIN-lee puh-VAH-riss.)

Finley Pavaris grew up in comfort, raised by a well-off family who gave him every opportunity a child could ask for. But his earliest memories are blank—anything before the day he arrived at the Pavaris home is a mystery. His adoptive parents told him he’d been found alone, but nothing else. No records, no clues, no one claiming to know him. As far as the world is concerned, his life began the day they brought him home.   Finley’s gift—his ability to shapeshift into any animal—is as natural to him as breathing, though he keeps it hidden from most people. He has no idea where it came from or why he can do it. Sometimes he wonders if the answer to his past lies in that gift, and other times he prefers not to think about it at all, choosing instead to focus on the life he has now.   He is loyal to a fault, someone who will drop everything to help a friend or family member in need. Playful and lighthearted, he has a knack for finding humor even in tense situations. Beneath the easygoing charm, though, is a strong sense of responsibility—he knows when to take things seriously and when to put others before himself. Finley tends to be the grounding presence in a group, the one who quietly makes sure everyone’s okay while keeping spirits high.   Physically, Finley’s dark, naturally curly hair and bright blue eyes give him an approachable, almost boyish charm. In any form—human or animal—his presence has a way of putting people at ease. Yet, while he may seem entirely content with the life he’s built, the mystery of his origins lingers like a shadow he can’t quite shake.
