House Karker
The Supreme Rulers of the Karkoni Coast, House Karker are a human family that traces their ancestry back into the seas itself, having blood of merfolk. The Karker's have been a major pollitical force in the StormClaw Empire, a constant outspoken voice for the families desires.
Culture
Members of House Karker show a deep reverence for the sea, as well as their past as sea dwellers. House Karker also has a rich legacy of funding artistic endeverous such as theater, paintings and architecture.
History
Arrianna was a common born human girl reknowned for her beauty, when the King of the Sea Tytos took notice of her. The two fell in love, Tytos, knowing he would outlive her and eventually return to the seas, decided he would make her a queen. With an army of aquatic soldiers weilding strange magical weaponry King Tytos firstn untied the scattered coast, a few petty lords and villages before moving inland to conquer the whole Karkoni Peninsula for his wife. Arrianna took the House Name Karker, to signify her rule of the Entire Karkoni Peninsula. Her decendents reigned for 1500 years before being conquered by the StormClaw's. Their lands were devided, and now they only ruled the coast of their peninsula.
Territories
Once ruling the entire Karkoni Peninsula, House Karker now only rules a fraction of that, the coastlands. Filled with steep cliffs, peaceful beaches and everything in between, the Karkoni Coast is a vibrant land, and a hub of maritime trade. Apearance
House Karker posses slender builds, dark black hair, and slender eyes. They are almost always wearing blue colors, to echo back to their oceanic origins.

Sigil
The crest of House Karker features a trident, the famed weapon of King Tytos, on a field of white surounded by a blue stripe represeting a wave. The family's motto, beware the tides, harkens back to the merfolk from which they spawned, and how the ocean, and those lurking in it, are a power to be feared.
