Gamorrean

Gamorreans are a sentient species of green-skinned pig-like humanoids that hail from the Outer Rim planet of Gamorr. They group themselves in clans, each of which was lead by a warlord and a Clan Matron.  

Physiology

    A species of tall, strong bipeds, the Gamorreans have porcine traits, like an upturned, large-nostriled cartilaginous snout, jowls, and upturned tusks. Their hulking bodies are covered in green or rarely pink, thick and hairless skin. They have five digits on every extremity, each sporting a hard nail. The digits of their hands include an opposable thumb, which allow the Gamorreans to easily grasp and handle objects. The species have two sexes: the males, referred to as boars, and the females, called sows.  

Society

Gamorreans have a clan-based society. Each clan is ruled by a female leader, the Clan Matron, and a male leader, the Warlord. Although the sows farm and hunt while the boars wage wars, the Gamorrean society is in fact a matriarchy. Indeed, a Warlord holds his position by way of marriage to a Matron rather than force, although Matrons do make their selections based on the boars' combat skills. Gamorreans see war as glorious, and violent clashes between clans are rife.   Because of their low intelligence, Gamorreans tend to be both stubborn and loyal; philosophically, they believe that any problem could be solved by hitting it with brute force. Technologically speaking, the Gamorreans are primitive, and they favor melee weapons like vibro-axes and vibro-lances over blasters. They never discovered space travel on their own. Moreover, Gamorrean boars fail to maintain personal hygiene, rarely changing their clothes or wiping the streaming mucus from under their snouts. Gamorreans chop down areas of their natural forest habitat to make room for farming.  

Homeworld

Gamorr is the homeworld of the Gamorreans. It is a lush planet in the Outer Rim filled with forests.  

Language

They have a language of their own that sounds like mere grunts and squeals to outsiders. Although they can understand other languages, such as Galactic Basic, they find most of them too difficult to pronounce.

Species Abilities

    Gamorreans begin the game with one free rank in Melee. They still may not train Melee above Rank 2 during character creation.  

Savage Warrior

When making a Brawl or Melee check, Gamorreans add the Vicious 1 quality to their weapon. If the weapon already has the Vicious quality, increase the listed value by 1.
