Arakyd Industries
Arakyd Industries was a major manufacturer of droids, heavy weapons, and starships, dating back to the days of the Galactic Republic. Originally a supplier of exploration droids, the company saw a major boost in business with the rise of the Galactic Empire. Apart from the probe, its other most famous product was the XR-85 tank droid. It also manufactured ID9 seeker droids, internal systems probe droids, Viper probe droids, and Viper recon droids. In addition to this, they produced RA-7 protocol droids specially for the Galactic Empire and created KX-series security droids to provide Imperial facilities with more efficient security, as well as ST2 concussion missiles and tubes for starships. Arakyd Industries manufactured droids on Vulpter, a planet located in the galaxy's Deep Core where it also had a data storehouse. During the Clone Wars, Arakyd's Chief Executive Officer was Hordis Boil. Divisions of the company included Arakyd Aerodynes, Incorporated Arakyd had many of its factories on the planet of Coruscant. Its headquarters were situated on the planet of Vulpter.
