The Great Collapse

Stjorngorvall was holding out well against the Human siege, when it was struck by an earthquake that (instigated) the collapse of the newest in a network of mines, and a flash storm that flooded the streets, forcing the inhabitants to flee into the Underdark, the city's already occupied twin, or into the waiting arms of the Human army. They then watched as the Sunrise Mountain collapsed under the structural damage, crushing those unable to escape.
