Mending
Effect
Mending returns a broken item to a "fixed" state. This does not include entirely destroyed items, nor can it revert a material within an item to a previous state.
Ex. A piece of cloth with a tear or a seam ripped can be mended, but cannot be turned back into wool or cotton.
Manifestation
Mending creates a soft, ambient magenta glow emanating from the pieces of the subject as they're mended. It typically lasts for a few seconds at a time but will sometimes vanish instantly.
The materials will appear to reassemble themselves or snap back together. It has been noted as "highly satisfactory".
Mending requires access to magenta chroma to cast. The caster can use a magenta focus if they do not have a magenta soul.
To cast Mending, the caster requires at least two of the pieces of their desired object within their range. Not all of the pieces of the item are necessary to preform the spell, but to successfully repair the item to be whole, the caster requires all the pieces. Fortunately as long as the smaller pieces are in range, it's typically only necessary to have a strong visual on the larger pieces. This makes Mending useful for glassware, ceramics, or other brittle materials.
Mending requires a vocal or somatic component. This component is the word the caster most understands as the combination of magic known as Mending.
While Mending can affect organic matter, it cannot repair the structures of any organism more complex than a slime mold. It is highly inadvisable to attempt to use Mending on a wound.
