Pérák

Background
Jakub Eisner was a gifted Jewish inventor and engineer living in Prague at the outbreak of the Second World War. A quiet man of intellect and principle, he escaped the early Nazi purges but lost nearly everything—his family, his community, his home. Rather than flee entirely, Jakub went underground.
Fueled by grief and rage, he poured his genius into building a suit that would turn his small frame into a living weapon. He crafted a spring-assisted leaping mechanism allowing him to bound across rooftops and escape near-certain capture. His armor was lightweight but resilient—cobbled from steel plates, flexible alloys, and scavenged materials. His helmet and gas mask not only concealed his identity but allowed him to operate in chemically compromised areas.
Armed with blades, sabotage tools, and deadly cunning, he struck at Nazi patrols, armories, and factories—silent and swift. At first, the people of Prague feared him, mistaking his masked form for a monster. Whispers of "Pérák" spread like wildfire—part ghost story, part propaganda.
But when it became clear that he only targeted Nazis and collaborators, he became something else: a legend. After the war, Jakub vanished. Some say he was hunted by communist authorities after refusing to serve the post-war regime. Others believe he retired, traumatized and weary of bloodshed. What remains is the myth of Pérák—a boogeyman for tyrants, a guardian for the oppressed.
  Personality
Jakub Eisner was not driven by glory or patriotism alone—he was driven by justice. A deeply private and thoughtful man, he turned to violence only when the world gave him no other choice. Beneath the mask was not a killer, but a man trying to reclaim his dignity, one slash at a time.
Quiet, intense, and ruthlessly pragmatic in the field, Pérák became a symbol of resistance—but to Jakub, each life taken was a wound. He kept count. He remembered names. And when the war ended, and the clear enemy was gone, so too was his will to kill.
He remains one of Europe's most enduring hidden legends—neither superhero nor soldier, but a man who chose to fight monsters by becoming one the monsters feared.
