Haunt I

Background:

Michael "Mick" Laine grew up in the gritty streets of New York City in the 1930s, where crime and corruption ran rampant. He came from a long line of mediums, inheriting his psychic abilities at a young age. While most of his family shied away from their gifts, Mick embraced his ability to communicate with the dead. He never saw his gift as a curse but as a responsibility to help those who couldn’t help themselves.

Mick’s natural talent for communicating with the dead caught the attention of Serena Sartori, the Silent Specter, during one of her supernatural investigations. Impressed by his bravery and psychic potential, Serena took him under her wing, training him in both detective work and supernatural combat. Mick adopted the mantle of Haunt, becoming Serena’s trusted partner and sidekick.

As Haunt, Mick helped the Silent Specter navigate the spirit world, using his mediumship to communicate with ghosts and gather valuable information for their cases. Their partnership extended beyond crime-fighting; over time, Mick and Serena developed a deep bond that blossomed into love. They eventually married and had two children, both of whom would one day carry on their parents' legacy as protectors of the living and the dead. Together, Mick and Serena created a lasting legacy of justice, both in life and beyond.

  Personality:

Mick Laine was a fearless and compassionate individual, always willing to confront the unknown and use his gifts to help both the living and the dead. Though he carried the weight of his psychic abilities, he remained grounded and dedicated to justice. His relationship with Serena was built on mutual respect and shared values, with both partners knowing the risks and rewards of their supernatural work.

As a husband and father, Mick balanced his roles as a protector and family man, working alongside Serena to uphold the legacy of the Silent Specter. Their two children inherited both their parents’ determination and supernatural talents, ensuring that the family’s fight against crime and the supernatural would continue for generations.
