Gander Blue

Background:
Gander Blue was originally known as Subject D-7069, one of the many animal-human hybrids created by the villain Doctor Sideshow. While many of the mutants created by Doctor Sideshow were unhinged or violent, Gander Blue was different. From the very beginning, he possessed the heart of a loyal and good-natured canine mixed with human intelligence and emotional depth. When he was still a puppy, Gander Blue managed to escape from Doctor Sideshow's lab, fleeing into the wilderness of Newfoundland, where he lived for several years, honing his survival instincts.
During this time, Gander Blue became the subject of local cryptid legends, with rumors of a "wolf-man" wandering the forests of Newfoundland. These stories caught the attention of the RCMP and other agencies, leading to an investigation by Agent Christophan Warrick. When Warrick finally discovered the humanoid Newfoundland dog, he was struck by Gander Blue’s gentle and loyal nature, completely at odds with the frightening tales. Over time, Warrick took on the role of a father figure, helping to raise and guide Gander Blue into a responsible and compassionate individual.
As Gander Blue matured, his natural instincts for search and rescue began to shine. His keen tracking abilities, combined with his immense strength and endurance, made him an invaluable asset to Northforce, Canada's elite superhero team. Now, Gander Blue serves proudly as a specialist in wilderness operations, search and rescue missions, and tracking lost individuals. While he is more than capable of holding his own in a fight, Gander Blue’s true passion lies in helping people in need, especially those lost or in danger in the vast Canadian wilderness.
Personality: Gander Blue is the embodiment of loyalty, kindness, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Like the Newfoundland dog he was modeled after, he is gentle, patient, and nurturing, always putting the needs of others before his own. He has a calm, steady presence that can diffuse tense situations, and his empathy for both people and animals is one of his most endearing traits.
Despite his imposing size and strength, Gander Blue is playful and good-natured, often preferring to spend time with his friends and family or playing games rather than engaging in combat. His great love is helping those who are lost or in danger, and he takes immense pride in his work as a search and rescue expert. While he helps Northforce in their battles against crime, he is happiest when he’s saving lives, not fighting enemies.
Gander Blue also possesses a strong sense of justice, though his understanding of right and wrong is heavily influenced by his canine nature—he values loyalty, honesty, and protection above all. His time with Agent Christophan Warrick has given him a deep respect for the law and for human life, and he believes that everyone, no matter their circumstances, deserves a chance to be saved.
His closest relationship is with Agent Warrick, whom he considers a father figure, and Northforce has become his family. Gander Blue thrives in their company and cherishes the sense of belonging they provide. His playful, protective, and loyal nature makes him the heart of the team, always ready to lend a paw when needed.
