Background:   Catalina de la Vega was born to Spanish doctors who came to the Amazon Rainforest from Central America in search of new cures. They were compassionate explorers, fascinated by the lush and dangerous terrain and seeking to discover its secrets for the benefit of humanity. However, tragedy struck when a savage storm ignited a fire that took her parents' lives, leaving young Catalina orphaned in one of the most dangerous places on Earth.   Miraculously, she was found by an old native shaman, a friend of her father's, who took the young girl in and raised her as his own. Catalina grew up learning the secrets of the jungle, the ways of the wild, and the respect for nature that her adopted father instilled in her. She became one with the jungle, learning to move through its dense foliage, communicate with its creatures, and thrive in the unforgiving environment.   Under the shaman's guidance, she became a fierce protector of the jungle, a huntress who knew no fear and possessed a deep understanding of the balance between life and death. She earned the loyalty of the jungle's animals, and it is said that the very spirits of the rainforest blessed her with their power. As an adult, Catalina took on the mantle of the Cat of the Amazon, a symbol of the jungle's fury and its unbreakable spirit.   Her resolve to protect her home was solidified when Harrigan Heavy Industry, led by the ruthless William Harrigan, came to exploit the Amazon for profit. Harrigan’s greed and violence led to the death of her adopted father, an act that ignited a fire of vengeance within Catalina.   She became the Queen of the Amazon, determined to protect her land from all who would seek to destroy it. With her loyal companions—a jaguar named Sombra, a mischievous capuchin monkey named Rico, and a watchful macaw named Lorenzo—she wages a relentless guerrilla war against those who threaten her jungle.   Personality:   Catalina is fiercely independent, strong-willed, and dedicated to protecting her home. She embodies the untamed spirit of the Amazon—wild, unpredictable, and unyielding. She is a warrior, but also a guardian, driven by a deep love for the land and its creatures. The loss of her parents and her adopted father has instilled in her a fierce hatred for those who seek to exploit and destroy the jungle, and she has vowed to do whatever it takes to protect it.   She is resourceful and intelligent, capable of outwitting her enemies with creative tactics and a deep understanding of human nature. Though she can be ruthless when dealing with those who threaten her home, she also has a compassionate side, caring deeply for the people of the forest and the animals she considers her friends.   Catalina is not without her vulnerabilities—her past losses have left her with a deep sense of responsibility, and she carries the weight of her role as the jungle's protector with a sense of solemn duty.
