Agent VELVET
Background:
Velvet is what happens when organic horror meets military design. Grown—more than trained—Velvet is not considered fully human anymore. Her body was modified in the Deep Hive labs using harvested peripatus (Velvet Worm) DNA, gene-laced mucus chains, and organ-enhanced micro-musculature. She was originally part of a failed "Slow Mobility Suppression" project aimed at urban pacification—but she survived the collapse of that program and evolved.
Velvet is now S.W.A.R.M.’s go-to for slow-burn annihilation: sabotage through paralysis, infiltration via wall-crawl, or incapacitation through mucus entrapment. Where others storm in, she seeps in. By the time you see her, it's far too late.
Personality:
Velvet is unnervingly calm. She speaks in soft, slow patterns—as if time means nothing to her. She doesn’t rush, doesn’t raise her voice, and rarely shows emotion. Despite her grotesque methods, she considers herself a conservationist—removing weak or overaggressive elements from ecosystems.
She shows interest in others with fluid, adaptive minds (scientists, shapeshifters, artists). She hates excessive machinery. She loathes fire. She moves like a shadow guided by intention, and when she touches you—it feels like silk and death all at once.
