Beltzaren Zetroa Luma aka Black Feather Sceptre

It was a masquerade in City of Stygia, and that day, the Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers was in attendance.

You're wrong, that's not me, we share a body, but we are not the same person. The Black Heron isn't one for parties and dancing and gossip. Black Heron is all about killing.

Princess Magnificent had invested some of her deathly power in those feathers though, she wore her soul and essence like a crown, her numinous presence like armor of beauty. That's why it hurt. It hurt me so much that she took from our shared power, into something I could not use.

So of course, I did the same to the Princess, I put the sharpness of my gaze into my new black talons, taking away an equivalent amount of power from her, and more.

— Black Heron's Diary

I note all geomantic changes in the city of Stygia, this one is significant enough to be felt through walls.

Someone must be less circumspect than usual, sorcery on this level is rare, and shines like a beacon to those with eyes to see.

I have read of an interesting pamphlet, among the mortals, mentioning an item of this level of power, attributed to the society of the Burning Scale. I must send informants to this society, to discover more.

Whoever has information on it, I will offer a rich reward, magical materials, grave goods. Grim Admonition, you will see to this personally...

— The Silver Prince's notes on Black Heron

Who is Black Heron, you ask?

Why simply the most deadly assassin imaginable, a feather-and-leather clad lithe killer with no remorse nor patience.

And who is Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers?

A socialite, with keen credentials among the dead of Stygia, a signatory to the Stygian Pact that set the rules there. An apparently empty airhead with thoughts only of refreshments and dresses.

You only realize the problem once you discover they share a ghostly corpus, even if they're not, strictly speaking, the same person. They're just never there when the other is around, and by sharing a corpus they share the resources that all undead use to manifest, to dematerialize, etc. In Stygia, they can be said to share a faction, by some, and to others, their factions vie against one another as much as the other Deathlords' factions do.

They also consider attacks on that corpus to be an attack on the both of them, so don't do that. Should you even be able to survive a fight with either, either the surprise attack from the greatest assassin the underworld has witnessed, or the social attacks from a great socialite, perhaps only second to the The Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears, would weaken you, until slowly you realize death would be preferable.

In the underworld, there are rumours.

Yes, yes, I know, there are always rumours in the underworld, dead gossips have nothing better to do... But hear me out. In the underworld there are rumours that Princess Magnificent, or Black Heron, either or, has been gruesomely punished by her fearsome masters, the Neverborn for some transgression. That this being, this peerless killer, this maven of undead society, is subjugated to The First and Forsaken Lion, forced to obey that dread undead warlord. The rumours further add that part of the punishment is a weakness, the first one to attack the other in that pair, will be left completely open to retaliation by the other, so despite the mutual hatred, they have to tolerate one another.
