At the coat-check, Fortifier dismisses his gauntlets which leads to Just Distribution realizing the Creation-based Alchemicals would be the original circle, shaped by Autochthon himself.

Fortifier tries to observe the Menhir Raised in Doleful Silence.
He’s a challenge to read. He seems to be very interested in meeting Just Distribution, someone from a land untouched by The Underworld.
Stelsor slips one of his anti-Lover pamphlets into Elias’s pocket.
Turns out Elias had already bought some on his way into the city.
Stelsor tips Elias off that the Lover has been after air-ships.
Elias will be in town for about a week.
The city council was very emphatic about affording him every courtesy while also imposing a strict cut-off date.
What's Menhir's angle?
Fortifier senses that Menhir has a negative intimacy toward the Lover
Also picks up that Menhir is nervous whenever Chalai gets close.
Fortifier asks for Chalai’s opinion on what flavors are in the tea. Ash ash, spectral cherry blossoms, and some kind of aftertaste with strangle chamomile.
Fortifier realizes these are pretty rare ingredients but nothing that would be poisonous. Rather he seems to be experimenting with masking poisons.
The Menhir’s allegiance seems to be to The Dowager of the Irreverent Vulgate in Unrent Veils, a notoriously crazy deathlord known for poisons and plagues.
Ar-Duke Status Report
Dreamflower speaks with Ar-Duke Pritchard, warlord of Metagalapa.
He has been in Marita trying to join the Confederation of Rivers.
He is frustrated that a food shipment he already brokered is being held-up because he isn’t a formal member yet.
As Dreamflower talks about Autochthonia, Ar-Duke recalls that Queen Merala had been there once.
Mentions that he misses Merala; she was a good friend.
When Dreamflower tells him about our battle at Harmegis and capturing the Shrike, Ar-Duke is ecstatic.
Once he finds out we turned it over to the Bureau of Destiny, he’s very upset that we gave this weapon away to the Sidereals, the traitors who murdered all his friends.
Ar-Duke mentions that Metagalapa traveled through a temporal anomaly. This seems to be how he happened to survive the Usurpation.
The other Solars in his Circle seem to be more recent.
Greeting Grey Falls
Fortifier speaks to Ledaal Shaitan.
Shaitan seems to immediately sour at meeting an Alchemical since he’s unhappy about the portal to Autochthonia that opened in his city.
The satrap sent multiple scout teams (each a squad mortals with about 1 or 2 Dragon-Blooded) through the portal and none have returned.
Fortifier silently worries the scouts are already dead in the sunless, industrial wilderness.
However, it may also be the scouts were locked in a metaphysical limbo because they were trying to cross the Seal of Eight Divinities from the wrong direction without permission.
Either way, this is an awful way to begin Autochthonia-Realm relations.
Shaitan mentions that his wife officially holds the title of Satrap, but she decided not to travel because she is preparing to give birth any day.
At this, Fortifier grabs some silverware and, through some Alchemical ingenuity and a few sparks of essence, he fashions a spinning mobile that he offers to Shaitan on behalf of Autochthonians.
Just Distribution is herself totally won-over by Fortifier’s sweet gesture and that he’s attributing credit to her.
Fortifier explains to Just Distribution that the Grey Falls is the local tip of a the largest political power in Creation, so the generosity was also to help placate their wrath if we can’t get their scouts back to them.

We begin to notice that there are a few Guild Directors and other wealthy people, yet none of the people we suspect (or know) are on the Council of Entities.
Essence of Spice Trade has invited everyone present, and so we detect a message in this: Essence of Spice Trade wants Just Distribution to meet the people who shape Nexus in more off-the-books ways.
