Driscal is a barren world, with a think, choking, barely breathable atmosphere. Massive dunes of sand roll across the wind-stripped landscape, over the years-long summers. Driscal City is a large domed settlement on a large rocky plateau.
Large moisture farms and deep wells gather the water needed to keep the surface crops growing, but the majority of the food is grown underground and in large caves, secure from the hostile outdoors and fearsome predators that roam the scorched lands.
The majestic and beautiful Queen Marsha Va'Laross rules the planet with an iron fist. The settlement is so small that crime and careless deaths due to exposure and wildlife won’t be tolerated. Her strict laws are due to the dire circumstances she finds her people in. She is sympathetic and is providing food and medicine to the military remnant at very affordable prices.
