Geography
Solignis is a terribly wicked planet. Full of volcanic mountain ranges, obsidian plains, and burning wastelands. Very little can survive without assistance.
Fauna & Flora
Few plants can survive here. Only those that have developed the need to not have sunlight, clean oxygen, and water. Mostly, fungi and mushrooms grow on this planet. However, water-needing plants have been found in underground caves.
The fauna that live here are mostly skin and bones - literally. The animals that manage to survive on Solignis do not have fur on their skin, if they even have skin at all.
These bone animals can be bred with their furred cousins to make half furred and half bone breeds, but these animals will freeze to death in cold weather.

Magma, obsidian, and charcoal bone.
Tourism
Scientific types often visit to try to see if they can control the temper of such a deadly hot planet for other to live on. So far, this mission is unsuccessful, but many still try.
