Forest of the Moon

Geography

The Forest of the Moon is a fairly well-known location to the residents of Drimori, in fact, mostly everyone across the Scrapbook knows about the Forest of the Moon! It is quite dense, and very, very dark. Especially during a Night of No Light.
However, despite the darkness and despite what it is more well-known for, it is beautiful. Cutting through the forest is the mountain range, The Moon Cliffs, and cutting through on the ground are many, many rivers and the Mana Lake. They say that, from the Moon Cliffs, you can see the entire forest.

Fauna & Flora

The most notable thing about the Forest of the Moon is its flora. Strikingly, every plant besides the trees glow in the dead of night. Most of the plants glow green or blue, an indication of the vast amount of magic that can be found inside every flower and every leaf in the forest.

The fauna, on the other hand, also glow. But, like magic, only the ones that live in the Forest of the Moon glow. Let's take stags as an example. Our regular stag, tall proud, notably doesn't glow at all, right? Well, if our stag was born in the Forest of the Moon, it'd probably glow a deep, majestic purple and have the ability to make plants grow or flowers bloom or something.

All of the fauna and flora in the Forest of the Moon are noted to have magical qualities, as from their telltale florescent glow. However, while some may heal or give magical assistance, there are also many poisonous flora and fauna, as all good nature has it. However, such is easily identifiable because these ones glow red or orange, and ones that glow yellow are deadly.

Now, you might be wondering, "How do the animals fare if they eat such magical plants?" Well, I can tell you. Most of the animals have eaten enough healing plants, and are genetically immortal. However, removing them from the Forest of the Moon causes them to suddenly die because they no longer have the magic that keeps them alive. Their immortality also allows them to eat the poisonous plants, and eating the ones that assist with magic may cause the fauna to develop magical powers and/or abilities.

Natural Resources

Wood, meat (not too desirable), and magical ingredients for potions

Tourism

Many sentient beings, especially mature ones with small children, come to experience the Forest of the Moon, mostly at night. Most sentient beings come view the Forest on a Night of No Light, and see the ghastly luminescence from the wildlife creep up slowly into the night air.
Magic-users are also known to come by, to either meditate to unlock secrets, harness the powers of the forest, create magical potions, or to drink from the Mana Lake in hopes of permanent magical abilities (so far, unsuccessful).
