Fleshing Out your Avatar
C&D isn’t a game that builds its stories and mood that much on personal background connected to the avatars, at least not as a general rule. But it can be good to have a grasp of the avatar’s past. This makes it easier to understand his personality and views, as well as it will help the AI with the level design to a certain degree. For example, if an avatar has a score to settle with an organisation or individual this can work as a premise and motivator when playing a level. Below are some sample questions that might be helpful answering.

• Do you have any family or close friends?
• Are you religious/what’s your attitude toward religion (Infinitology especially)?
• If you would describe your personality with three words, what would they be?
• What’s your sexual orientation?
• What’s your stand on ethnicity?
• What’s your take on Gerions?
• How do you view the GIC and the corporations?
• Have any opinions about MEC and CIM?
• How do you spend your spare time?
• Have any great tragedies occurred in your life?
• Do you have any enemies that you know of?
Infinitology: Largest religion in the Sirius Galaxy. Belive everything in the universe is connected. Life energy of sentient beings will enter the Great Stream upon death, influencing the universe.
Ethnicity: Racism still occurs, but it is almost impossible to not be multicultural, with both parents being quite mixed already. Racism is often against Gerions, colonists vs residents of the Core system, and planet vs planet.
Gerions: An advanced alien race that explains little and humans know next to nothing about, not even what they look like.
GIC (Governmental Industrial Complex): Ruling body of the Sirius system. Consists of a Chairman, Senate, and a political forum.
IMC (Interstella Mining Corporation): One of the largest mining corporations.
MEC (Military Economic Corporation): A fringe group that fights off GIC rule. Not as extreme as CIM.
CIM (Clandestine Industrial Militia): A fringe group that fights off GIC rule by any means necessary.
