The Apostles
The most elite units of the Church's Holy Knights. They are under the direct command of the Head of the Church and its members are trained in a wide variety of weapons with some unique specialties among them. This position comes with its limitations as there can only be 12 of them in the service of the Church at a time. The only ways to leave the order is death or official dismissal from the Head of the Church. The Apostles are considered the greatest asset and last line of defense for the church and its leaders.
History
The Apostles have been around since the start of the church. The original Apostles were the last 12 people alive to defend the Holy Vessel during the final assault by the army of heretics.
