Large wagon, often flatbed, upon which a large ger was often permanently installed.
As the Mongol nation grew in power, the gers of the khans grew too large to be disassembled and packed. The ger was permanently installed on an enormous flatbed wagon.
The axles might be twenty or more feet in width and pulled by teams of twenty oxen.
William of Rubruck, a 13th century Franciscan missionary and explorer who lived among the Mongols, described the axles as being the size of a ship's mast.
