Warp Gates
To speed up galactic travel, warp gates are used. All gates are linked to a single other gate.
Public Network
Some of the Warpnet is open to the public. In every planetary system ruled by the Shogunate there is a warp gate that leads to the central hub. The Central Hub is a massive spacestation with hundereds of warp gates leading to different systems, planets and other stations throughout the galaxy.
Private Network
Some planets or organisations have their own gates. These are often smaller than the public ones and can only be accessed with a code. Most private warps also lead to the Central Hub and simply function as shortcuts for traders and those that work outside their home system.
Unregistered Gates
By Galactic Law, every warpgate has to be registered and its users controlled. But not everyone likes that. Criminal organisations and rebel militaries have constructed their own hidden gates. Usage varies, from smuggeling to sneakily setting up ambushes, anything has happened before.
The Central Hub
The Hub is a massive structure, floating in the void. It is under strict survaillance and there are massive amounts of Shogunate Soldiers present. Anyone wanting to travel through a gate has to show their registration papers, cargo manifests and lists of crew. Some gates also require an access code to use.
