An Inconvenient Truth

The people of the Shifting Isles like to spread the tales of Changelings, fae beings swapped with human babies. But the truth is that changelings do not exist, and the fae have no interest in human babies. The babies they call changelings are simply 'odd-folk', people born different for one reason or another. But people must have their reasoning for why they abandon such babies in the Twisting Woods to die, and so the myths of changelings has persisted since The Wandering Isle has had a name.       "Changelings? Pah. That's what outside folks call us who are born different, talk different and walk different. We rescue the babies and children left to starve in The Twisting Woods.
