Artificer Guilds
Many ancient workshops and production facilities can be found within Mokupuni Pele. This has led to a great influx of people willing to risk their lives to study them. They quickly organized and founded the different Artificer Guilds, each experts in their respective fields.As the largest collection of guilds and driving factor behind the economic growth, they have become the political power-house of the region and only answer to the colonial offices.
They not only control the flow of the technology uncovered and (re)-invented, they also educate anyone willing to become an artificer. If you are willing to bind yourself to the guilds, you will find a place there.
If you are looking for work and are not afraid of delving deep into ancient ruins, taking on the task of uncovering forgotten knowledge and battling the automatons that still protect it, then you are welcome as well, the guilds always look for fresh meat to send into the grinder...
Locations
The Colonial OfficeThe Colonial Offices sit to the eastern side of the city, walled off from anyone without a proper permission to enter. They contain the main building, used to house all necessary offices and storages, as well as multiple smaller buildings for the colonial officers and their families.
The Academy
The Artificer's Academy sits slightly outside the city (not depicted on the map) and provides their own harbour for quick access to the city.
The former grounds had been within the city limits, after an enduring series of deadly accidents however, the new buildings were constructed out of reach for any potential danger. It is generally not recommended to wander onto the grounds, without experienced company.
Milo's Enchanted Dishes
No one really knows where this restaurant's name came from. What is known however, is that its quality is divine. Impeccable service, the finest ingredients and the most comfortable you will ever be during a dinner.
It is booked in advance for months on end, a dinner here is something you will talk about for the rest of your life.
History & Culture
Kahe was founded only after the First War for Liberation. Since a large amount of troops was sourced from the islands, it was deemed necessary to keep a closer hold on the area. Since larger cities in the area had been victim to the Scorching, the descision was made to built a completely new city.As such, the people here tend to be much more loyal to the colonial offices than in most other cities of a similar size.
The prominence of the Artificers' guilds have them influence a large amount of public life, nowhere else will you find this many marvels of technology in one city, although, they have grown rich from trading it away and selling their services to anyone capable of paying their extortionate prices.
Otherwise the city is known for its exceptional culinary scene, many a famous chef had their beginning here. No matter what you want, be it a change from the usual, a taste of something truly exotic or maybe something that reminds you of home - you will always find a place willing to cater to your tastes. If the price is right, some might even refrain from asking too many questions...

Come and see...
The city of black, white, blue and red is quite the striking view from a distance. The marble the houses are built from contrasts starkly against the black basalt and slate used for the roads and the roofs.
In the harbour turquoise waves gently lap against the quay, while a soft breeze carries the smell of salt and burned rock through the city.
In the distance the volcanoes can be seen, a constant stream of lava flowing from them and towards the city, kept at bay by the never ending work of its citizens.
Take a step closer and see how much the people love their colours, doors and windows painted to brighten up their world, the white marble a great canvas, almost all houses are a mural, painted over generations and with great care and love.
