Fiddlewick the Apprentice
Ka Haumana
A short History of Fiddlewick the Apprentice
Dorok may be the one that creates, but Fiddlewick is the one that innovates. Still a young god they have only recently ascended,
Mortal Life
Fiddlewick was born the child of a wealthy gnomish family. The family trade - trade, never suited them and so they left the inheritance to their siblings and instead decided to go on adventures instead, trying to find something that would excite them. It was not too long before they met an old artificer and decided to leave their party for an apprenticeship with the old master. Fiddlewick learnt day and night, composition of metals, smelting alloys, hardness scales and so forth. Little did they know that this old master was in truth Dorok - The Divine Hammer looking for somebody to raise to the status of the divine.Ascension
Dorok saw potential in the young gnome and decided to give them the chance to prove themselves. He proposed an outlandish task to Fiddlewick and claimed after completing it, he would be a master artificer in his very own right. Dorok then left the workshop tho his apprentice and watched from the heavens high as Fiddlewick set to work without despair. As the automaton was created and worked, Dorok knew that he had found a truly exceptional individual to become the godly power looking over the artificers and all that love to tinker and build. After ascending Fiddlewick set out to work immediately, building a plane of their own - Mechanus, fledgling but promising young plane that will serve as their seat and workshop after their apprenticeship is finally over - it has to cover all the godly duties now as well.Worship
Worshippers
Every Artificer and those that want to be pray to Fiddlewick so that their contraptions might work and not break down. Every child that desperatly wants their toys to come alive rarely find their wish come true, soft stuffing reinforced by a small mechanical skeleton allowing Mr. Displacer to hug them back.Priests
A true church has not yet had time to form for Fiddlewick, they do not seem too interested in that either. Although, if a person needs a burst of heavenly power to infuse their creations with, Fiddlewick might give it to them. Such as this anyone that might be considered a Cleric or Priest of them is bound to do that only on the side, following their main passion in the meantime.Paladins
A monster attacking those that cannot defend themselves might find a truly horrifying sight. A Paladin wearing them as their armour, or rather an armour that shows their own face in brass and bronze, spitting fire right back at them, reflecting their rays of freezing cold or poisening them in turn. If they do not face the Paladin themselves they may see a mechanical copy of themselves charging at them - then the Paladin couldn't be bothered, sending their creation instead.Acts of Worship
Building and creating may be Dorok's domain, but he now has given a little bit of that over to Fiddlewick. The creation of small and large automatons, the crafting of gear and clockwork is now Fiddlewick's. Building something such as this, the simpler the materials used the better, or the more complicated the better - everything but mediocrity is sure to raise their attention.Temples
Every workshop is a temple, every workbench a shrine and every wrench a sign of divine authority.Maybe this one won't explode - this time
