An Unassuming Dowsing Rod

  A wooden rod tied with simple leather wraps around each of its two prongs, split to form a perfect Y. It looks old, worn, as if ready to complete its long march into decay, but at the same time it possesses almost a timeless quality, as if this wilted state is its preferred and intended form. Despite the apparent splinters marring its surface it is comfortable to hold.
