Tarildi

The Tarildi were a nomadic people group who wandered all over the Seven Kingdoms. They were renowned artisans, and could skilfully craft pottery, jewelry, metalwork, and paintings. The teachings of this incredible art was passed down from generation to generation, and different families within a Tarild clan often had different professions. The Tarildi rarely mined the resources needed for ther work, often trading with dwarves for the necessary materials instead.   Tarildi clans passed through a town or city about once a year, bringing many different items to trade with the settlement's inhabitants. Many Tarildi were willing to do custom work for the right price, working on the piece during the year in between visits, then delivering their work when they returned. Some things, like pottery, did not require this amount of time, and so the Tarildi would often make these items during their week-long stay. Specific Tarildi clans had specific areas, and trespassing on another clan's route was a grave offense in Tarildi culture.   Tarildi believed that not only did making art give them valuable things to trade, it was also paying homage to their god, Kashu, who was a god of creation and beauty. As such, they took their time to make sure every work of art they created was as perfect as it could be. On the days that they started and finished their piece, they lit scented incense to honour Kashu, and prayed to him with a prayer they called The Prayer of Creation.   Many rich noblemen possessed at least one piece of Tarildi jewelry, as it was a sign of status in many areas.
