the Furthermore
The Great Guest House of Malfa is universally called the Furthermore, an ancient joke of which nobody remembers the origin. It is a huge caravanserai-like structure, with stables and stalls for visiting merchants on the ground level, and two level of temp rary or cheap long-term accommodation.
The Furthermore is in the Liberty, an area of Malfa that doesn’t fall into any of the eight active Maveren holdings. It was build and is maintained by The Trade Benevolence (essentially the merchants’ guild) and is thus a sensitive subject between Maveren and the rest of Malfa.
