Historical Significance
Rise of An Empire
In the legends told of the Paranth Sultanate's rise to dominance, it spoke of its first ruler known as the The Sun Sultan that built the city of Akbar, and brought prosperity to his people, said to have lived for centuries, spreading his power over the Eastern Lands both economically and militarily. But for much of that time, the rule of war was more common, leading decades of conquest over the warring desert states that would be forever known as the Sun Wars. This greatly expanded the Sun Sultan's domain from a single city to a vast and powerful empire that would create the Sultanate into the first true power of the desert. From small oasis settlements to the city-states built along the coastline, many fell to the ever-growing power of the Paranth Sultanate, as few could match its resources and military might. Leading to many of these campaigns being short, as expansion continued onwards to place all lands the sun touched under their rule. While many would argue centuries later that these conflicts were seen as unnecessary, as the Sultinate had overextended in reach, which would prolong the wars in its decades of conquest. But many saw it as necessary to bring about a new age for the east, as by that time, much of the east lacked any real advancements since the desert covered the east with stagnation, having taken root, and warlords fighting one another for what little they could scrounge up from others. The Sulinate, rather than leaving ruin in its wake, would raise the peoples that they conquered to stand up with them to join in their growing prosperity in the centuries of desolation that the desert brought with it. Wars of survival and desperation would come to an end, and warlords who refused to submit were put to the sword to bring peace to war-torn lands. Bring about an age of progress that finally got the East out of the ruin of the old age that had long since been forgotten.Legacy
The Sun Wars would lead to the Paranth Sultanate becoming one of the sole powers of the Eastern Lands for centuries, bringing about a golden age for its people. The arts and sciences were spread throughout its territories, building up its society to become prosperous in the harsh desert.
