Skeleton
Necromancy always finds a way
The skeleton is the most common type of undead to ever exist and by far the weakest. The only reason that they even able function properly is with necromancy to keep its bones from falling apart due to the lack of muscle. They are quick easy resurrect as well since it require little magic to bring they to life. Though weak individually they are quite deadly in numbers since they have been know to swarm their targets. Surprisingly they are able function even after the necromancer is dead and will just remain in a dormant state until something come near them. They are often found in ruins and other dark places. No one really knows how the magic alone is sustaining them and many have tried to discover it for a long time now. The best way to kill one of these things is with a blunt weapon to shatter the bones and make fall apart.
