Scorched Barrens

The Scorching Barrens are found in the very center of the Jantani Desert, where nothing but sand and barren soil can be found, with the remains of dead plant life from ages past. It is mainly open land with some rock formations that are scattered about its long stretch of desolation.

Deadly Heat: The Heat reach higher than any other place in the desert to the point that anything under the sun will not last long with overwhelming the body to the point of death.   Freezing Nights: The nights are below freeze in the absence of the blazing sun, require much need protection from freezing to death or frostbite.   Sand Storms: Rising winds kick up massive sand storms that can easily claim the lives of anything that gets caught in it.

An extremely hostile environment where nothing survives for an extended period, characterized by overwhelming heat during the day and cold nights, making it nearly impossible for anything to live here.

No Man's Land

  The Jantani Desert is vast and filled with many dangers that can easily lead to their doom should they not tread carefully; however, there is one place that few dare to enter, for death is almost inevitable. That place is the Scorching Barrens in the very heart of the desert, for it is the most lifeless place to find oneself in. The heat here is far more intense here than other parts of the desert as no desert plants grow here, only their mumiffied remain are left of them. Those found themselves here will find it difficult to breath and exposed skin will be burned in a short period of time. Should they find themselves trapped here for an entire day, their fate is sealed by the time the sun sets.   What makes things worse is the chance that a sand storm may arrive and being in the middles of the desert means they are all the more deadly with sand sofficating the lungs or the winds carrying debris that can kill. Being buried alive is also a possibility should the winds carry you off and land in large pile of sand as it builds up around you. No one dares to cross into this place if the value their lives, not even the nomadic desert tribes dare to venture here knowing that fighting its nature is pointless. Making it all the more reason for all things to stay away from it at all times or end up as a shrivel corpse forgotten beneath the sands as if you never existed. The only true master the rules over this place of suffering is death itself waiting for the next unfortunate soul to cross into its domain to claim them for their foolishness.

Very few people have ever dared to cross this part of the desert, as certain death is all but assured, with only the desert attempting to cross it at night before the sun rises to deliver its burning fury upon them.
