Needle Beck: The Deroto's thin beck can allow it to grab food with precision as its it able to reach into tight space that most birds are unable to reach.
Cunning Intellect: Making up for its size the Deroto is able to find food much easier with creative ways into getting as well as keeping itself alive in its dangerous environment.

As birds they lay eggs that are much small then them that almost looks like stones and lay one to three at a time and take several weeks to hatch.

The Deroto, being of a small size with often shelter itself in small spaces to protect itself from the harsh elements and predators. These spaces range from areas with dense rock formations, thorny plants and ruins where they can rest and build their nests.

As omnivores, they live on a diet of insects, seeds, and fruits that they can get their hands on by using various methods that allow them to find food in the most unlikely of places, along with following other animals to pick up scraps from them when they get the chance.
